We collect Information in the following ways 

  1. When you give it to us or give us permission to obtain it
    • When you sign up to access our downloads page and download our software, you voluntarily share information including your name, email address, phone number, company name, company address and number of Revit users.
    • We also gather information from when you download our software from the Autodesk App Store as provided by Autodesk. Autodesk provides us with your country, name, email, company name and the time you downloaded the software.
    • When you purchase licenses, we use 3rd party services including PayPal, Stripe and SecurePay which temporarily store payment details. 
  2. We also get technical information when you use
    When you use a website, or application, certain internet and electronic network activity information gets created and logged automatically. This is true when you use the ReviCheck website and the ReviCheck products. Here are some of the types of information we collect:
    • Log data. When you use the ReviCheck website our servers record information (“log data”), including information that your browser automatically sends whenever you visit a website. This log data includes your Internet Protocol address (where allows us to infer your approximate location), the address of and activity on websites you visit, searches, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, cookie data and device data. Log data is currently collected when using the ReviCheck plugin .
    • Cookie data. We also use “cookies” (small text files sent by your computer each time you visit our website, unique to your ReviCheck account or your browser) or similar technologies to get log data. When we use cookies or other similar technologies, we use session cookies (that last until you close your browser) or persistent cookies (that last until you or your browser delete them). For example, we use cookies to store your language preferences or other settings so you don‘t have to set them up every time you visit the ReviCheck website. Some of the cookies we use are associated with your ReviCheck account (including information about you, such as the email address you gave us) and other cookies are not.
    • Device information. In addition to log data, we collect information about the device you’re using to visit the ReviCheck website on, including the type of device, operating system, settings, unique device identifiers and crash data that helps us understand when something breaks. When activating your license of ReviCheck, we record the external Internet Protocol address of your network, the serial number used and a cryptographic machine code (derived from various hardware and software variables on your machine that cannot be deciphered). 
  3. What we do with the info we collect
    • Personalise your experience on our website (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
    • Improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
    • Improve our customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
    • Process transactions
    • We may from time to time, send you information about new features and new products and services, including support information. You will have the choice to opt out of all this correspondence through an unsubscribe link located at the bottom of all email correspondence.
    • Administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature. You will have the choice to opt out of all this correspondence through an unsubscribe link located at the bottom of all email correspondence.
    • We will send you license renewal information and license status reminders.
    • Detect when a license is being misused, such as on more machines than its allowed to be, or at multiple companies.

Transferring your information 

ReviCheck provides products and services worldwide. By using our products or services, you authorise us to transfer and store your information outside your home country, for the purposes described in this policy. The privacy protections and the rights of authorities to access your personal information in such countries may not be equivalent to those of your home country.

Choices you have about your info 

Our goal is to give you simple and meaningful choices regarding your information. If you have a ReviCheck account, many of these controls are built directly into the ReviCheck website. For example, you can:

  • Edit information in your profile at any time.

You also have choices available to you through the device or software you use to access the ReviCheck website. For example:

  • The browser you use lets you control cookies or other types of local data storage.

How and when we share information 

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties, your personally identifiable information. 

We share your information with: 

  • Marketing services we utilise such as Mailchimp and Mailgun to facilitate our online mail-outs.
  • Accounting partners and services we utilise such as Xero to facilitate our online account keeping.
  • Third-party companies, service providers or individuals that we employ to process information on our behalf based on our instructions for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
  • Law enforcement agencies or government agencies. We only share information if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person; or to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • Our wholly-owned subsidiaries and affiliates. If we were to engage in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganisation, or similar transaction or proceeding that involves the transfer of the information described in this Policy, we would share your information with a party involved in such a process (for example, a potential purchaser).

 How we protect your information 

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you access your personal information including 256bit Secure Certificates on our website and all our software is digitally signed.

 How long we keep your information 

We keep your information only so long as we need it to provide ReviCheck products or services to you and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. This is also the case for anyone that we share your information with and who carries out services on our behalf. When we no longer need to use your information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, we’ll either remove it from our systems or depersonalise it so that we can’t identify you.

Your options 

You have options in relation to the information that we have about you. To exercise these options, please contact us at support@revicheck.co.uk

  • Request access to the information we collect and hold about you. We’ll usually share this with you within 30 days of you asking us for it via email.
  • Have your information corrected or deleted. You can update your information in your profile or delete your data by contacting us.
  • Object to us processing your information. You can ask us to stop using your information, including when we use your information to send you marketing emails. If you opt out of receiving marketing messages from us, we may still send you updates about your account, such as when your subscription is due for renewal or has expired.
  • Request more details about the information we collect and how and why we use and share it.
